For nearly 50 years, The Tender has provided compassionate support, meaningful engagement, and respite for families impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
As the need for our services continues to grow, we are exploring opportunities to expand our impact and serve more families throughout our community.

The Heart of Our Mission
Since 1977, The Tender has been a sanctuary for individuals with Alzheimer's and other dementias, offering a supportive environment where they can find comfort, companionship, joy and purpose. Our social day program has provided much-needed respite for caregivers, allowing them to recharge while knowing their loved ones are in capable, caring hands. In addition since 2007 and the launch of our CARES program The Tender has been committed to helping caregivers navigate our complex healthcare system, resources, referrals, and education.
However, as the need for our services continues to grow, so too must our capacity to serve. This is why we are embarking on the Empower & Expand campaign—to create a larger, more accommodating space that can welcome more members into our community and support more caregivers along their journey!

Join the Capital Campaign Committee
We're looking for community leaders, business professionals, advocates, caregivers, and supporters who want to help shape the future of The Tender.
