The Tender has volunteering opportunities for people with a lot of time to give and those with just a few hours a week.
Adult Day Center volunteers assist with games, crafts and activities as well as serving snacks and lunch. Socialization is an important part of our program, so we ask that Center volunteers commit to a regular schedule so that our clients see the same faces every week. Of course, we will always understand if you need to occasionally reschedule.
Our Drive People Happy program also needs volunteers to provide transportation for homebound seniors for errands such as medical appointments and grocery shopping.
As a transportation volunteer, your commitment will be flexible, as you are free to select just those assignments that best fit your schedule.
Small Commitment, Great Rewards
One of the greatest rewards of volunteering is the knowledge that you have made another person happy, and have provided a much-needed service that will make a crucial difference in his or her life.
